Description
Liquorice roots contain glycyrrhizin and saponin. These substances have expectorant properties, which is why liquorice is included in cough lozenges. Liquorice contains many flavonoids, substances with antioxidant properties. Its anti-inflammatory properties help with hepatitis.
Composition
Organic liquorice root (Glycyrrhiza glabra) extract, gelatin (capsule).
Directions for use and contraindications
Directions for use: 1 capsule 2–3 times a day
Contraindications: Individual intolerance, pregnancy, lactation. Adverse effects reported with prolonged liquorice use include increased blood pressure, swelling, sexual dysfunction, development of gynaecomastia and reduced body hair.
Storage conditions: Keep closed at room temperature and protect from sunlight
