Abscess, trophic ulcer, pressure sores, purulent and postoperative wounds.
Abscess
An abscess that has not yet matured should be treated with warm MOLISAN, then covered with a MOLISAN Bethlehem dressing. If the pus has drained or the abscess has been punctured, it should be rinsed with MOLISAN and bandaged.
Trophic ulcer, purulent and postoperative wounds
MOLISAN Classic helps restore normal tissue function and accelerates the healing process while improving the quality of healing.
After opening the purulent cavity and removing necrotic tissue, use a small irrigation bulb to treat the wound with warm MOLISAN for 2–3 minutes, then apply a sterile swab moistened with MOLISAN.
The dressing can be changed twice a day. From day 3, the wound is treated with MOLISAN for 3–5 minutes. After treatment, the swab may be left in the wound for 24 hours. On days 4 and 5, the wound is treated with MOLISAN without a swab.
After just one day, the amount of pus and necrotic tissue in the wound decreases and the putrid smell disappears. Large wounds begin healing on day 2 or 3. Long-standing trophic ulcers take longer to heal.
Pressure sores
Gently wash pressure sores with warm MOLISAN and allow them to dry. Take gauze, moisten it with MOLISAN Bethlehem and place it over the pressure sore. If pus develops, repeat the procedure as for treating a purulent wound. The patient is advised to lie on a linen mattress. A bag filled with flax seeds is placed beneath the pressure sore to help the wound breathe. One cycle lasts 6 days. Practice shows that this method allows pressure sores to heal faster than conventional treatment with chemical medicines.
